SOVA – SOCIAL SKILLS
Many children do not succeed in dealing with others in an easy way. They are socially awkward, sometimes they are too fierce and react impulsively. They forget to stop, think and then act.
TOM – THEORY OF MIND
Sometimes children also find it difficult to imagine that others have different thoughts and feelings than they do. This makes it difficult to understand what others mean. This is called Theory of Mind.
SOVA & TOM COURSE
If it is difficult to quickly understand what others mean, it is even more difficult to respond well and apply social skills. With the SOVA & TOM course we combine the stop-think-do method with Theory of Mind exercises. We usually do the course individually. For many children this is more pleasant, they learn more from it and it is easier to organize. Sometimes we start a group so that children can practice with each other.
The course consists of 5 lessons, during which we work with the children for approximately 75 minutes and the last 15 minutes with children and parents. The course is part of a care pathway at ZO!; this way we can first find out what is needed and also take other factors into account.
Met een verwijzing van je huisarts, kinderarts, jeugdarts, gecertificeerde instelling of gebiedsteam (voor mensen onder de achttien) hebben we met veel gemeenten een contract. De kosten worden dan volledig vergoed.
Als je 18 jaar en ouder bent kan je huisarts je verwijzen voor kortdurende generalistische GGZ (voorheen GBGGZ). Je kosten worden dan volledig vergoed door je verzekeraar, mist die een contract met ons heeft gesloten. Anders wordt een deel vergoed. Je kan bij je verzekeraar vragen wat ze jou vergoeden.
Binnen de zorgverzekeringswet kost het je beide keren wel je eigen risico.
